Cute little escort tags

Don’t you love how cute these little escort tags are? C & J picked our Olivia style in brown ink which matches the calligraphy of their envelopes. They will be attaching the tags to antique keys for their guests. Congrats C & J!

Weddingbells: The Right Type

It was a pleasant surprise to see my calligraphy featured on the Weddingbells blog the other day! Thanks to Rosie for the kind words about my work. You can read the entire article here.

Yummy menu place cards

I love how these menus have a dual purpose. Not only do they share the delicious food that will be eaten at F & M’s wedding reception but they also act as place cards. I calligraphed each guest name, in our Katie style, on the menu. Place cards are different from escort cards as they tell guests where at the table they will be seated. Escort cards, on the other hand, inform guests which table they are sitting at.

Crane’s Lettra Envelopes

Many of our clients are not from the Toronto area. They ship their material to us and opening their packages is like opening a gift. We never really know exactly what kind of material we’re going to get to work with.

Whenever I open a package and see the blue Crane & Co stationery box I get all excited. Crane’s Lettra paper is 100% cotton and kind of feels like fabric. The paper is incredibly soft and luxurious and it is specifically designed for letterpress printing. It’s fibers do make it a little more difficult to work with a calligraphy nib pen. However, I’ve developed a technique of working with Lettra and the end result is fantastic. The ink floats on top of the material creating a raised ink feel to the touch… a great compliment to paper that’s most often used with letterpress.

1st anniversary gift - paper

Don’t you just love how sweet these wedding vows are? These vows were written in one of our newest styles, Claire. It will be framed by a client who is celebrating her one year anniversary. We often get requests for vows written for couple’s one year anniversaries as the traditional gift for one year is paper!
